TMK Gulf International Pipe Industry (TMK GIPI) one of the leading producers of line pipes, OCTG & Coating services for the oil and gas industry has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with POSCO, the South Korean steel giant for supply of hot rolled coils (HRC) to Oman. POSCO INTERNATIONAL will supply hot rolled coil products of API 5CT (grades J55/K55) and API 5L (all grades for sweet and sour service).
This MoU is a major step for TMK GIPI looking to deepen its collaboration with POSCO, ensuring stable supply of the raw material, overcoming current supply and logistic global challenges and further enhancing the production quality.
TMK GIPI’s CEO, Sulaiman Al Farsi, said that “At TMK GIPI being a leader of the Oman’s steel industry, we believe it is our responsibility to secure and upgrade the quality of high end steel tubular products in the country. We also pride ourselves on our ICV contribution, supporting SMEs and the local employment".
